Points

Each year, NHS members are required to obtain a certain amount of points. The typical conversion is 1 hour of service = 1 point. Drives will happen throughout the year and will give varying amounts of points.

Sophomores

After induction, sophomores are required to obtain 10 points by the end of the year

Juniors

Juniors are required to obtain 20 points each semester

Seniors

Seniors are required to obtain 20 points over the first semester, and 15 points over the second

Throughout the course of a single semester, you can obtain a maximum of

  • 5 points via drives

  • 5 points via teacher assistance

  • 5 points via personal projects

  • 2 points via outside of school tutoring

  • As many points as you want through official NHS events (including peer-to-peer tutoring)

Additionally...

  • Points are entered every week of school, with teacher assistance points being entered every Monday

  • Talk to a board member or Mr. Hoxie if you have an issue with points not being entered

  • Turn in your personal project points via the forms page

  • The first person to sign up for an official NHS (typically through SignUp Genius) event is responsible for taking attendance

  • Send volunteer hours/points and attendance to bookertnhspoints@gmail.com
